Wicked Wednesday – 2 minute silence??

On Sunday we had M’s first remembrance parade with rainbows.

The parade went well it was cold but the sun was shining.

Afterwards there was a church service we all went to. Both J & M were very well behaved.

However when we went outside for the placing of the poppies and the 2 minutes silence things changed.

J asked what we were doing after. I had promised to take them for hot chocolate.

He asked if he could take his iPad.

When I said no he put up a fight.

He cried and shouted “I want my IPad” the church bells stopped ringing 11am and everyone around us had bowed heads.

OMG it’s 2 minutes silence.

J was still screaming about his IPad.

I ended up walking him out of the church yard and up the street.

I was so cross with him! 😦

We ended up postponing hot Chocolate.

Why is it they kick off at the worst moments.

Wicked Wednesday – I want to go to the fireworks!

At the weekend the kids bugged about going to a bonfire and seeing some fireworks they asked all evening on the Friday and then all day on Saturday.

So I checked google to see what local events were happening about!

We found one at a pub  so we headed out and met up with our friends.

Once we got outside J wanted to go on the pitch black play park where there were loads of big kids – I wasn’t really up for this. I could barely see so I said no!

he was not happy about this and whinged all the while!

M loved the bonfire but as soon as the fireworks started she moaned the bangs hurt her ears.

So we had one moaning she wanted to go as they hurt her ears and one moaning now because he was too cold!

We stayed to the end with much protesting!

I just have to say kids it was your idea to go out!

We ended the evening with a hot cuppa & snacks at our friends house chatting in front of the roaring fire.

It made up for the moaning!

Wicked Wednesday – #Winning

Last week I had an extra child to take to school

When they are together they tend to run off so I made them hold hands

They did protest!

But Holding hands I knew I could keep control better!

I sent this to my friends with the note

Wicked Wednesday – Let me wee in peace!

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!

This little lovely barged into the bathroom this morning crying because I had said she couldn’t wear her pink tights for school!

Her brother followed her!

I was having a wee at the time!

People asked me over the summer “what are you going to do with your self when the kids start school full-time?”

My reply – Enjoy a hot cuppa tea & wee in peace!

Wicked Wednesday – Its too Far, My legs are tired!

This weekend we headed out to a local event. It was in the nearby village.

About 45 mins walk away.

It wasn’t that cold so we decided to walk.

We had gone about half a mile when J decided it was too far!

We pushed him to go a bit further and eventually he picked up pace.

Then we arrived at a field with a footpath running through!

He was not happy!img_0311

We were lagging behind the rest  img_0306But we got there in the end!

And as soon as he saw the candy Floss he was happy enough.

“Do you know what M Thats not a bad idea.”

Well if you cant beat them!

Wicked Wednesday – I told you it wasn’t broken!

Today’s post isn’t about my children as such but my god-daughter!

She is 15! Yes people they still deserve a good shaming blog post even as a teenager!

A couple of weeks ago Her mum asked if I could take them to A&E. My god Daughter(G)  had banged her wrist it had gone a funny colour and she couldn’t feel her fingers.

All the way there she rattled on (In nerves I suspect) about how she didn’t need A&E it wasn’t broken and if we lived in america we wouldn’t be going as it would be too much money!

Then when we got there and sat the 4 hour wait to get seen G decided maybe it was broken and she would quite like to have a pot, a sling, a brace!

Obviously in true mum style me and her mum said if you don’t stop whining you will need more than a pot! 😉

After she had, had a x-ray she was told just bruising and we went on our way!

All the way back G was like a stuck record – ‘I told you it wasn’t broken’

I think she was rather disappointed it wasn’t broken and she didn’t get a pot!

This is the obligatory A&E waiting room instashot!

Wicked Wednesday 21.09.16

This morning M asked if she could go downstairs and start getting her breakfast I said yes. Everything is in a cupboard that she can reach. Why not.

I went to wake up J and headed downstairs. To find this …

She had climbed on the cupboard and got a glass for her juice.

This face says it all.

Obviously I took a photo before I got her off the counter.

Why is it I struggle to tell her off.

If J had have done this I’d have shouted at him.

I often feel M is a lot more advanced than J she looks at a situation and learns what she needs to do to be safe. With J it’s trial and error. So Often it’s J that gets told of as he’s doing things that I feel are not safe.

When M does something I feel more disappointed with her as it’s rare.

So this morning when I found her on the worktop I was shocked but i almost knew she would have climed safely.
