Friday Morning Cuppa & A Chat. – Sometimes it takes a stranger …….

To realise how lucky you really are!!

(This post has been sat in my drafts. I thought it had been published. I wrote it back in September. )

Your family, & friends and people you know to say hello to down the street can tell you how well you are doing, how they can’t believe how well you look after all you’ve been through and how lucky you are to have two sets of twins.

However sometimes it takes a stranger to tell you how well you look and how lucky you are.

Last week we went to register the new babes. Then we sneaked for a cheeky coffee before heading back for hubby to do some work from his home office.

We sat in Costa and a lady behind me told me how she was admiring my twins. I told her the story that we had two more at home. She said wow you are amazing.

She asked how old both the sets are and I told her 5 and a half and just 5 weeks old. She said wow how are you even upright let alone out and about. She told me how lucky I was to have not just one set but two sets of twins. Many people have said this through my pregnancy and after their birth, however this time it felt different.

Her words really sunk in and I looked at our new set of twins and thought yeh you know what.

We are really blessed.

It took us 5 years to get our first set. 5 heartbreaking years of 2 week waits, negative pregnancy tests, medical professionals telling us our only hope was IVF.

Now we are blessed with 2 sets of twins. Yes, I’ve been to hell and back over the past couple of months, however, I’m alive and we have a family that’s going to make loads of memories.

We now have 5 children between us. And it feels amazing. Hard work but amazing.

So never underestimate the power your words have even to a stranger!

Thank you, stranger, for making me feel as lucky as everyone keeps telling me I am!!

Cuppa Of The Week, Friday Morning Chat & a Cuppa., mums day off

A Quiet Cuppa

Sitting in the corner the whole sofa area to my self, people come and go.

I love having a bit of time to myself to drink a hot cuppa.

I often take my note pad so If new ideas pop into my mind I can write it down!

There are an older couple across from me. They are talking over the days plans. On another table is what looks like a business meeting.

I over hear a conversation happening by a group of mums about the disasters they have had that week. I cant help but smile knowingly to myself. I suddenly dont feel like I’m alone.

I grab a slice of cake to go with my cuppa and have a quick chat with the ladies who work there. We discuss holidays and babies and more.

I love to go for a coffee at the local coffee shop sometimes working from home and being a stay at home mum and housewife can get a little lonely.

I go to the coffee shop for a little company.

It’s a like a little hoilday. A break from chores. A chance to breath.

Conscious water make water enhancers these are to be enjoyed while you take a moment. They don’t claim to have healing powers it’s all about the flavour and the experience.

Give yourself 5 mindful minutes

Pick the aspiration you need, take a few deal breaths then Grab a 250ml glass of water and simply fold the sachet in half over the glass and the essence will drop out of the bottom. Give it a stir and enjoy the moment.

There are several essences to choose from

  • Serenity – ”

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

    Reinhold Niebuhr

  • Sweet Dreams –

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them”

    Walt Disney

  • Clarity –

“A lack of clarity could put the brakes on any journey to success”

    Steve Maraboli

  • Happiness –

“Happiness is not something ready-made it comes from your own
    actions”.

    The Dalai Lama

  • Love – ”

Where there is love there is life”

    Mahatma Gandhi

  • Rejuvenation –

“We must always change, renew, & rejuvenate ourselves, otherwise we harden”

    Goethe

Each one is blended with flower essences that are specifically chosen to help create the above aspiration.

The aspirations are safe for children to drink as the only contain natural ingredients.  When I spoke to one of the team at the event they also told me that they are soon to bring out a range specifically for children. To help them concentrate on study, sleep better and more.

Conscious Water can be bought directly from the company for further information please head on over to their site for more information.

Friday Morning Chat & a Cuppa.

Divorcing the eu!

As we wake up an independent nation. I can feel the bubbles of anxiety creeping. I look at my children who have no idea what has just happened or what it means for them and their future.

The world is a scary place when your a mum. The uncertainty of what’s going to happen now is scary.

All we can do now is sit and wait to see the consequences of yesterday!

I wonder ..

Wonder about the plan to move to Lanzarote.

Wonder what kind of Britain my children are going to grown up in now!

Wonder what is going to happen to our pound.

Time will tell.

But for now. I need to go and get ready to catch my train to Brit Mums Live.

Catch you next time.

Nina.
